When I bought a bag (clutch) at the YSL boutique in Paris last year (pre-Hedi Slimane), it did not come with a box (only the dust bag). I bought the same clutch (different color) in HK recently, it came in a beautiful black Saint Laurent Paris box and a dust bag. I was thrilled with the unexpected packaging of my clutch .
The shoes themselves were in new condition and the boxes, other than the multiple labels and dust bags were in new condition. Both were very hard to find shoes and not premium designers so I kept them. I was told this by my Chanel specialist who focuses on handbags and shoes. Now, it may take some time, but you will find THE ONE. Now, I personally love a great bucket bag for everyday use as many come with adjustable longer straps allowing for crossbody wear.
