Slash’s Breitling Chronomat. Nobody can pull off flaming guitar licks in a top hat quite like Slash, one of the only guys that can wear skulls, rings and rips aplenty without looking like a D&D nerd’s picture of what a rock god should look like.
This photo of Slash and the Breitling was filed away with the rest of the research and source materials for Power Chord. But as Scott’s been doing tons of interviews for the book’s release, he came across this photo and thought we’d get a kick out of it. Yes, better than Slash as an all round player and techical ability. I am a guitarist myself and have been listening to a lot of Kennedy and Mark Tremonti materials (Kennedy's main gig, The Alter Bridge). I have seen Slash wear Breitling before but couldn't help but notice he was wearing a Hulk last night. Whenever they would show him soloing you could see it on the 50' jumbo screen. I wonder if I'm the only geek out of 30+ thousand people that noticed this.
